There was delight among The Olde Ship staff and customers after receiving the Best Restaurant Manager award. The popular pub’s hard work was recognised among a host of others at the Restaurants Association of Ireland Leinster awards. Rose and Cecelia received the award on the night which took place in the Knightsbrook Hotel in County Meath.

The Restaurants Association of Ireland categories the winner as:
“Recognising the individual that oversees the day-to-day operation of the restaurant with enthusiasm and expertise. They will be an exceptional leader for their team and will be able to handle any situation that arises. They will demonstrate strong business acumen, working knowledge of the industry, and intimate knowledge of the menu and wines being offered. The restaurant manager will be the face of the establishment having a good rapport with both new and returning customers.”
The Olde Ship has been a favourite spot for both locals and tourists for many years. It is located at 44 Main Street, Arklow. Congratulations to everyone involved on their well-deserved award!
