What’s On in Arklow this May Bank Holiday

Once again, Arklow is going to be buzzing with activity over the May Bank Holiday weekend. With events taking place right through the weekend and something to suit everyone. Even the weather is threatening to roll with the good times!

 

Thursday 2nd May

Arklow Farmers Market – Bridgewater Shopping Centre 9.30am – 2pm

Tesla Experience – Bridgewater Shopping Centre 10am – 5pm. A Tesla advisor will be on hand to answer any questions you have and you can even book a test drive here. 

Fayebella are having a whopper sale from Thursday – Saturday with all items €20 or less. You’ll find the goodies at the store right next door to them.

Trad Session @ Corner House from 8pm

Friday 3rd May

Bridgewater Shopping Centre will be activity packed with lots going on for all ages!

  • Bricks & Blocks Lego Event 1-4pm – FREE
  • Arklow Makers Craft Market 9.30am – 5pm
  • Spinning for Samaritans – Samaritans Volunteers will be Spinning all day on Saturday to raise funds for the branch and tell everyone about The Big Cycle. Pop by and hear all about the challenge.

May Bank Holiday Monday 6th May

With 2 Great Days out scheduled for the Bonus Bank Holiday day off, it’ll be hard not to get involved.

The Annual Carysfort National School Summer Fete takes place 11am – 3pm and promises to be a super day out. Live Music, Games, Face Painting and the Teddy Bears Picnic will keep everyone entertained along with Book Stalls, Craft Stalls and of course the Wheel of Fortune.

There’s a Family Fun Day happening at Arklow Rugby Football Club from 1 – 5pm. Grab the gang and head to Arklow RFC where you can expect Live music from Jimmy Reid and  Arklow/Wicklow Ukelele players. Food Trucks, Giant Games, Small Kids Fairground Rides, Face Painting and lots more.

Players from the Clubs Senior Teams will by Spinning for Samaritans in support of  The Big Cycle for Samaritans which is a key fundraiser this year for East Coast Samaritans on Arklow’s Main Street.
