R-772 Roadworks Commence

Roadworks on the R-772 Dublin Road commenced on the 31st of August. Wicklow County Council confirmed that the works will take place between M11 Junction 20 and Beech Road. The works are part of the Arklow North Cycle and Pedestrian Scheme and will be ongoing for six months.

Local Counselor Peir Leonard spoke about the works saying:

The scheme consists of two cycle lanes on the R-772 on either side of N11 from the junction of Beech Road heading north to the Skua Lighthouse roundabout with one new footpath on the former Hills Garage side running parallel to the cycle lane. No road closures are envisaged but there will be a slight impact on traffic due to road works intermittently

A traffic management system will be in place for the duration of the work between 08:00 and 18:00 each working day.
