LEGO Workshop Comes To Arklow Maritime Museum

A special LEGO workshop is coming to Arklow. The one-day-long event will take place in the Arklow Maritime Museum on Saturday, October 1st from 11am to 4pm.

Children aged 7-13 will get to meet professional brick artist Jessica Farrell from the hit Channel 4 Tv Show LEGO Masters. Jessica will explain the amazing details that went into creating a special ‘Glendalough in LEGO’ display. The creation depicting one of Wicklow’s most beautiful and iconic heritage sites has been constructed out of 44,388 LEGO bricks and will teach the story of 12th Century Irish monastic life.

There will be lots of fun LEGO brick activities on the day including:

  • Speed Challenge – How fast can you build a medieval Irish structure?
  • Wall-To-Wall LEGO – Help build Ireland’s longest LEGO stone wall
  • Brick Art – Build a mini-mosaic with your own Celtic design
  • Free Build Area – A special DUPLO play pit will be provided for children aged 6 and under

Entry to the LEGO Workshop is free and all children must be accompanied by an Adult. The Glendalough in LEGO diorama will be on display in the Museum from the 1st to the 8th of October.
