A selection of artists from the 402 Collective have come together for their current exhibition ‘For Shame’ which launched last week at Arklow library.
The mixed media exhibition includes thought provoking pieces which throw shade whilst exploring various different elements of human rights. Described as a thinking persons exhibition, shame, fear and the ruthlessness of obliteration of lives and futures are all sharply invoked by the pieces on display.
The exhibition aims to encourage conversation around the many shameful human rights atrocities taking place not just in Gaza but in Ukraine, China, Ethiopia, America and all over the world, including here in Ireland.
402 Art Collective are a cultural collective of artists and creatives based in Arklow. You can view artists’ work at The Sheds Gallery, Bridgewater Shopping Centre, Arklow.
The exhibition runs until 29th February, upstairs at Arklow Library. Entry is Free. Arklow Library is a fully accessible venue. Parking is available adjacent to the Library.
